Yesterday was a very big day for us at SCI! Mark Caldwell, our chief estimator, has retired after serving many faithful years. We will certainly miss his hard work and dedication. But more importantly, we will miss his friendship, his smile, and his bold laugh that could make anyone cheer up! Congratulations Mark, for a job well done sir. May you have much joy and health on your retirement journey.

And if you run your wife nuts and she’s needs a place for you to come hang out for a while, come on by! We will find something for you to do friend!

It is with a very heavy heart that we are sharing the news of the recent and sudden passing of one of the oldest former members of the Southern Components family, Chris Giddens. Chris began his career with us in 1998 as an assembly line worker in the plant. He quickly moved up to the position of forklift driver and eventually took over the entire Shipping Department. After a slight departure In 2013, Chris began a new journey as our outside sales representative. Until October of 2022 he managed the Texas territory creating many loyal friendships with his customers. Chris started a new career in sales with another company in Texas until his passing this past Sunday.

Chris was a gentle soul, a kindhearted and dedicated employee. He loved his family and cherished his two girls more than anything else in life. He was a joy to work with and will be greatly missed. He will forever remain in our hearts. We love you Chris. Your SCI Family.
