Holyrood Cemetery was solemnly blessed and dedicated on the Feast of All Saints, November 1, 1953, by the Most Rev. Thomas Connolly, Archbishop of Seattle. Holyrood Cemetery officially opened on January 2, 1954 and has served the growing Catholic community in the Puget Sound area for more than 60 year

Today, we join the Church around the world in mourning the passing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis.
As the first Jesuit pope and a voice for mercy, simplicity, and care for the poor, Pope Francis led the Church with humility and grace. At Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, where the faithful await the promise of the Resurrection, we honor his life of service and his enduring message of hope.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
