"I can't start with $1/day... my budget is too small."
I hear this objection ALL THE TIME.
And it's completely backwards.
Here's why:
Most people think Facebook ads are a volume game. That you need thousands of dollars to get any meaningful results.
Then I show them this:
Last month a client came to me with just $300 for the entire month.
That's it. $10 a day.
He'd been convinced that his budget was "too small" to make Facebook work...
..because some guru told him he needed "at least $50/day to get out of the learning phase."
Complete BS.
Here's what we did instead:
Created 10 different ads at $1/day each.
Let them run for a week to gather data.
Identified 2 clear winners (3.6X and 4.2X ROAS).
Killed everything else.
Put the remaining budget behind the winners.
End result? $300 invested, $1,143 returned.
All because we tested smart, not big.
Look, Facebook's algorithm works on a PER AD basis.
Each individual ad gets optimization love regardless of its budget.
With $1/day, Facebook becomes hyper-selective about who sees your ad.
It has to be choosy because it only has that $1 to spend.
And that's exactly what you want - Facebook showing your ad ONLY to the most likely buyers.
The real problem with small budgets isn't that they're too small...
It's that people waste them on 1-2 untested ad variations.
Here's the truth:
$10/day on ONE ad = gambling
$1/day on TEN ads = strategy
Does this method work with bigger budgets? Absolutely.
I've scaled clients from $1/day to $10,000+/month using this exact approach.
But the testing phase ALWAYS starts at $1/day.
It doesn't matter if you're a startup with $300 or a corporation with $300,000.
The principles remain the same:
• Test multiple variations simultaneously
• Spend the minimum needed for data
• Let the algorithm find your perfect audience
• Kill losers, scale winners
Your budget isn't too small.
Your testing strategy is.
