Path Valley 5/16 Recap

Decided to stay a little closer to home and take the winged car to path valley. Finally had a good pill draw pulling an 8. Starting us P1 in heat 1.

Heat
P1 > P3
Car was just a tick loose but overall had good speed.

Feature
P4 > P12
Got to get better in start fell from 4th to 7th off the initial start. Car was a little to loose all feature and missed my marks a few times dropping us back to 10th. Ended up spinning in lap 18 not sure if I hit fluid or what cause it just snapped around. Restarted 12th and finished 12th.

In all it was a good night building more of the notebook with this new engine package and car at different tracks. Will take the next week off and do some car maintenance and enjoy the holiday weekend with the family. Not sure where we’ll be racing next but we should be back in action somewhere at the end of the month

Made a trip to see Brett Clark to get the new wings wrapped today. Let’s hope these ones last a little longer for the sake of our racing budget this year 😂. We’ll be staying a little closer to home this weekend and making the trip Path Valley Speedway. Thanks to all the great company’s that help make this happen.

Well nothing to brag about last night but in all a solid night for second time out wingless at a tight little bullring. Car started off tight during hot laps made some changes for the heat but got a little greedy and clipped an infield tire and bent up an axle. Got that stuff fixed and made a few more changes and car was better but not perfect for the feature. We went 20th to 16th and rolled off in one piece so that’s a win. Track got major holes down in the turns and was a struggle to get through clean and make speed. We’ll continue to build the notebook and keep chipping away at it. Thanks to Matt keifert for the help last night. Now to get this thing cleaned up.

Ready to get after it tomorrow in the wingless car. Hoping the weather holds off.

Swapping out the wings this week. We plan on taking the wingless car out to Airport Speedway this weekend. Trying to build the note book and trying new setups. See how this one goes. Making the last few changes to the bars and a gear swap. Then finish nut and bolting the car. After all that we should be ready to load up.

Clyde Martin Recap 5/2

Well what to say we tried a new setup and it wasn’t quite there at all. We were slow in hot laps.

We struggled all night to find speed. Needless to say we’ll be changing setups again and continue to build the notebook. It’s tough not having much guidance and just trial and error testing everything from scratch. Going to take next week and pull the wingless car back out and make the trip to Airport Speedway and see what we can learn this time out. Thanks to all the company’s that supply great products and help all this happen.

Off to Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway for some winged racing tonight. Gonna try a new setup and see how we do.

In the shop tonight. Trying new bar setups in both cars trying to find some more speed and see what it does. Never stop learning and trying.

4/17 McGrewBid Motoplex recap

Went and raced the FK rod end nationals. Tried our first attempt at running wingless 600 with 43 car turnout it was gonna be a challenge. Tried a whole new setup and let’s just say it doesn’t suit me. Car was way loose in timed hot laps. Started P7 for out heat and make some bar changes. We went to far and became way to tight but managed to bring it home P6 in the heat. We made some more wholesale changes to the setup for the B main. We rolled off P9 and car was better and made our way up to P6 before getting into an incident in the last corner on the final lap. We ended up finishing P8 and missed the transfer by a bit. In all we started to build our wingless note book and had a fun time seeing our friends with the PA Micro Midgets LLC. We’ll give it another shot this season just not sure when and where. Be back in action with the wings at Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway in two weeks gonna take a weekend off with the family.
