Buzzards Glory has gone through a lot of changes and lineups over the years, starting 20 years ago in California as a three-piece acoustic act and eventually becoming the West Virginia-based six-piece wall of delicious Roots & Roll sound we are today. Now, we're entering a new phase. We are actively seeking a female singer and instrumentalist, as well as a bass player to join our happy little tribe.

Our home base and recording space is located in Bunker Hill, WV, which is right next door to Northern Virginia and Western Maryland, and we're easily accessible to the entire DMV region. Some of our current band members live in Martinsburg, WV; Wi******er, VA; and Mount Airy, MD. We are a gigging band and will begin lining up shows again as soon as the band's lineup is set. We are also in the early stages of recording original material and would love to have the right person/s join in that process. We're writing and developing new material for future recordings and an updated live set, too. You can have as much, or as little, creative input as you'd like in new material, and we are always open to new ideas and new voices as part of the creative process. We're more like a little (sometimes dysfunctional) family, ready to encourage and support one another, than we are a collection of hired guns. We have some big personalities in the band, but no rock stars. Good vibes and open hearts are part of the gig. That said, we do take the music and performances seriously, and expect professionalism when it's go time. If this sounds interesting and you think you might be a good fit, please make contact. For our current fans wondering what the deal is: we were blessed to have Colleen singing with us for the last couple years, but she has moved on to new musical endeavors and we all wish her the very best. And, we're honored to have our pal Skeffington on bass guitar for the moment, but we've always known that was a temporary situation. So, the time has come to get the new lineup in place, breathe new life into this great group, and take our tunes back out for the world to hear as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

Appalachia is ripe with tales from its wonderful and strange past, and some of our songs proudly continue the tradition of preservation through storytelling. The legend of Skull Run may be our next one!
