CALL FOR KINDNESS TO SUPPORT OUR WOUNDED VETERANS & FAMILIES @ CAMP AMERICAN LEGION!
This year the kids and parents of VETSROCK are working with the director at Camp American Legion to provide Kindness Rocks for visiting veterans and their families. The goal is to provide 500 painted Kindness Rocks by May 13 to allow time for members of Post 1925 and the staff to place around the campsite. But we need help! We need 300 more!
Since 1925, Camp American Legion has been serving Wisconsin Veterans, Military and their families in providing a safe place to heal and reconnect. It is the ONLY such camp in the nation to do so at no charge to the veteran. You may learn more about them at campamericanlegion.org
Oh, and when finishing your creations, it would be appreciated if you or your group places your first names and FB page on the bottom of the rocks so that the veterans or family members may learn more about this movement when they return home and hopefully join in.
As we already know, research shows that there is tremendous healing aspects to both making and receiving kindness.
