What can a Winter wear in the Spring/Summertime?

A LOT!

Culturally, we tend to opt for lighter and brighter versions of color in the warmer months of the year.

And the Winter palettes handle both lightness and brightness very well (and yes, even Dark Winter 😉🙌)

Which means, if you are one of the Winter tones/seasons, you can easily emphasize the lighter range of your palette and play into spring-and-summer-time trends.

In putting these boards together, I saw an array of Winter yellows, blues, and pinks available. For Bright and Dark Winters, you also have (a few) peachier-pinks that would be beautiful colors to embrace in the warmer months.

*A note about the patterned dress on the BW slide - this isn't 100% perfectly BW, but it was too beautiful to pass up! The yellows & tans, especially, seem to be more BS. Overall, I believe the piece would feel balanced for BWs.*

Viewing your wardrobe through the "capsule" perspective, especially when you've had your colors done, can help you create/find a well-rounded wardrobe that ebbs and flows with all of your life's needs.

The purpose of this visual is *not* to say that you need to go buy these 50 pieces; You likely already have many of these pieces in your closet!

The purpose also is *not* to say that every one of these pieces is perfect for a "Light Summer," or any other tones for that matter. This specific capsule is "summer-ish," meaning the pieces would work reasonably well for any of the three summer tones, but all pieces need to be vetted and verified by YOU (and in person) 🫶

So what IS the point, then?

✨ to show a common "formula" that could create a functional, well-rounded wardrobe
✨ to showcase how, when you know your best colors, your pieces can all work together
✨ to provide current, linked pieces in the case that you need to add to, or replace a piece in, your wardrobe

I hope you take this capsule wardrobe and use it as inspiration and groundwork for evaluating your own closet.
