Thankful Tuesday-
"Dear me, I know you're holding yourself tightly-- loosen a bit."
Naturally when something hurts, is frustrating, difficult, etc. We try to tightly knit everything shut. We hide our feelings and our worries from the world in fear of upsetting someone or making it worse. (Well... most of us do.)
We are human.
We are supposed to let it hurt, be frustrating, difficult, annoying..
We are supposed to feel those things.
And then loosen up a bit.
Today I am thankful for the reminder to breathe. To loosen up and let things heal and work their way out. For the right to say hey, I DON'T LIKE YOU. And hey, I love you. To certian people. The right to pray in the shower, in the car, at church, in bed, or wherever I feel I need some extra guidance. The right to cry to mom or to laugh as we run up the yard. The right to feel.
Things are healing, time moves on, and... I am finding ways to loosen the world around me. Little by little. In the saddle, laying on my floor doodling, seeing a puppy with my bestfriend and telling her husband hes a idiot. Picking flowers. Buying a hippie bowl with a lot of chocolate. The little things. 🤍
I am thankful for that.
What are YOU thankful for?

"My hat may be borrowed, but my courage sure ain't"
Checkout some of my favorite shots from Athens, Tennessee with Triple T Bucking Bulls / Bull Riders & Outlaws Events crew! Although a lot of these cowboys (and girls!) Have borrowed gear, used their last dollar on an entry fee, and sometimes struggle more in every day life than they'd let on...
One thing they don't borrow is their courage to come out and try anyways. They show up and show out. Every. Single. Time.
Riders, Contract personnel, and stock contractors find your images here. Please remember screenshotting off of my gallery website or social media is stealing. I have put several of you on a do not shoot list, and will continue to do so if caught. (By the way... cute profile picture! Even with "stolen" across the front 😉!) Thank you to those who support always and don't discredit my work. -->

"Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything." -Wyatt Earp
I have been working with a horse the last few weeks and someone I look up to a lot reminded me "slow and steady wins the race." In my head, I know this quote and have lived by it...however in reality I sometimes get frustrated and want to go fast. My old trainer used to tell me a thousand times about how she never took a horse through the pattern; Never at full speed.... rarely at a walk. She just worked on circles, backing up, stops, transitions... she always out ran me when it came to it. No matter the horses.
This applies to multiple things in rodeo and in life. The more accurate you are, calculated, precise..the better the outcome. Quit rushing things. Quit pushing yourself to the extreme to fast. Progress even in small amounts is still progress.
Slow and steady wins the race. Fast is fine, but accuracy... is everything.
Checkout some of my favorite shots from the Jefferson County fair on Tuesday! There were so many amazing shots that I can't post all of my favorites in one post, so I will post more throughout the week. As always, if you know anyone below please tag them. Please do not screenshot my work off my gallery or my social medias but feel free to share the post!
If you would like your images, those can be found here. Along with the full gallery because the ones below are just some of the best shots. Thanks for a great rodeo!
