In her upcoming exhibition, Mrs. Drigger, Fried Chicken, and The Manifesto of Security, Tara Stallworth Lee transforms historic photographs into encaustic collages on handmade paper.

Drawing from 1941 images by Farm Security Administration photographer John Collier Jr. from the Library of Congress collection, Lee revisits scenes from Dallas and Coffee Counties and presents them in a new way for contemporary viewers.
