This year at Heber Hunt, students participated in meaningful service learning projects that helped make a difference in their school and community while learning valuable life skills along the way. Service learning gives students the opportunity to help others, care for the environment, and grow through teamwork, kindness, and problem-solving.

Kindergarten students explored the importance of clean air while learning about planting trees and the life cycle of plants. First grade focused on the important role bees and butterflies play in our environment. Second grade promoted healthy habits by creating informative videos, sharing recipes, and even helping launch the Walking School Bus initiative. Third grade shared important information about Retrieving Freedom and learned proper flag-folding techniques with support from JROTC.

We are so proud of the way our students used their learning to serve others and positively impact our school community this year!
