**REVISED: The refuge at Centennial Park Recreation Center in Port Charlotte is closed.**

Charlotte County has NOT issued any evacuation orders. Although, if you feel unsafe in your home or need a place to go we have opened a refuge center. We understand that some residents might be more concerned because of current living conditions, for example an RV, trailer, or storm-compromised home. Pack as if you are going camping. The refuge is pet friendly.

The refuge center is now open at Centennial Park Recreation Center, located at 1120 Centennial Blvd., in Port Charlotte.
