Recorded at Panoram Studios in Mexico City, the latest El Sonido: Cancioneros episode follows Matilde Sobrino and Pepe Pecas through the music and subcultures that shaped Malcriada’s world, from indie sleaze, dark wave, and goth culture to hyperpop and Internet-born sounds.

Months later, we caught up with them again in Seattle after they recorded their first Live on KEXP session.
