Washington Filmworks (WF) is the private 501(c)(6) non-profit organization that manages the Motion Picture Competitiveness Program as well as a variety of resources for the creative industries in Washington State.

Washington Filmworks is excited to announce the projects conditionally approved by our Board of Directors in Season 6 of the Small Budget Production Initiative (SBPI).

The SBPI is designed to support emerging Washington State filmmakers by offering funding assistance for motion picture projects with budgets between $20,000 – $1M. Projects seeking an early stage funding commitment can apply during application windows throughout the year, and fully funded projects can apply at any time. The next application window will open Fall 2026.
