1. Merry Christmas to all. We still may not be good at Christmas cards, but we take great holiday pictures. Wishing you and yours a restorative, contemplative and joyful end of the year.

7. I love my chosen family and all the little moments of connection, however brief.

8. A reminder to rest and find spaces for restoration and calm, no matter the circumstances.

9. Music is best enjoyed in community, with true presence and intention.

10. Family is so grounding and a reminder of what came before and what will continue long after we’re gone.

Back in December I was brought in by my long time friend .drink.wanderlust to curate the soundtrack for the Doritos After Dark food and beverage activation in DTLA. The brief was: uptempo, contemporary, vibey, energetic and global music of all genres but no super obvious top 40 songs or super festival / big room tunes. I was up to the task 🫡

It ended up being one of the most fun sets I’ve done in years!

I have really opened up and embraced dance music in all its forms later in my career (hi, old heads 👴🏼) especially global beats and modern / future house post-kaytranada. This gig allowed me to dig deep into my bag and really flex on just how versatile I have become in my craft and how much my tastes have evolved and diversified.

Listening and reflecting back, I am incredibly proud of the DJ I have become. Music is a never ending, ever unfolding gift to us all and you’re limiting yourself if you don’t embrace it all. It’s the best it’s ever been. Open up your eyes and ears, put in the WORK to find what resonates with you and then make sure to share it far and wide. Hoarding is for suckers.
