This piece is inspired by the depths of the ocean, the depths of the unknown, and the depths of time.
Watching waves crash against the shore and seeing the evidence of time through erosion, staring up at celestial bodies like the moon, stars and other planets have always been a source of inspiration.
This piece features materials that really speak to those ideas. Sea glass and sea pottery that I collected myself in Hawaii, meteorite from outer space found in Argentina, dinosaur bone from Utah, and 2,000 year old Roman Glass to name a few.
