At Mano a Mano we endeavor to provide affordable access to healing experiences that allow people in our own community to release pain and find their personal pathway to wellness. We do this by combining the clinical effectiveness of swedish massage and the balancing effect of shiatsu. Mano a Mano's main product consists of massage sessions that last between 60 and 90 minutes. ive a series of sessions in which they become progressively more in tune with their own bodies' healing process. We specialize in both Clinical and Swedish Massage as well as Shiatsu. We are able to combine modalities to suit each client's needs and customize each session according to each client's progress. Mano a Mano Massage is a Sole Proprietorship owned and operated by Milvia Pacheco. The business goal is to open a space in which to offer affordable massage services. Over time, the goal is to increase health and wellness awareness in each client and in the community at large. There is a lack of therapeutic spaces for most people in our society, but the gap is especially wide in working class communities. Mano a Mano was born out of our need to find better care and more health in our own community. Providing affordable therapeutic services is both financially and socially imperative. Many of the barriers to health experienced in my community come as much from a lack of funds, as from a lack of understanding about the value of preventive self-care. Many times, we are immersed in day to day struggles that do not fundamentally improve the course of our lives. At Mano a Mano we believe that once we experience our own ability to heal through touch, we become more invested in our own healing process. Once that empowerment has taken place, everything changes.
