Night lighting check in to make any adjustments

New patios, new pathways are making their way. Bike shed, fire wood storage, trellises, lights and plants are still to come in this little garden. So much more usable space now for this family.

The bunnies seem to have finally discovered this lush pile of Sesleria, and a few other clumps in the garden. Here’s to successfully fending them off, so this summer I only have to contend with the dog chilling in the garden. Wish me luck!
Sending video updates of progress to clients, ignore my pointing. When getting called in to refresh another designer’s work, especially when the client is mostly happy with the garden, we work hard to maintain design integrity. We are making a few changes to the plant palette and updating a little bit of hardscape to meet the client’s current needs. Hopefully when we are done, it still feels like the old garden, but with a fresh new twist for the future.

2025 has been a year I’m ready to leave behind. Even with endless help and kindness from friends, family, clients and colleagues, battling long COVID for over a year has been one of the hardest things I’ve had to contend with thus far. I worked much less than I hoped, as my brain and body would not cooperate for most of the year. I managed to get published a bit (thank you to those reporters who highlighted my work). I gave a talk to one local horticulture club and have another one scheduled for the new year. I managed to eke out a few new designs and make some updates to older projects, too. Here’s to a new year of fun designs my brain is more than ready to tackle!
