Mini Art Gallery

Purchased in 2008 as a home for the Ritchie Family Art collection, video art archive and memorabilia, the Mini Art Gallery also serves as a work space for Bill Ritchie, former professor of art and advocate of new ways to enjoy the printmaking experience. With over 50 years in art, the family has a collection of works by friends, family, former students and, of course, Bill Ritchie. 2014 is the first year to put the Mini Art Gallery on Facebook with plans to feature selected work for sale.

She put Seattle on the global map, so you might enjoy the video that opens with Zoe Duzanne. On a personal note, if William Hevly had not seen modern art at her gallery, as the director of UW/CCTV, he probably would not have let me bring my students into the studios year upon year, and there would not have been the video art of UW schooled Northwest Artists Norie Sato, Wm O Smith, Carl Chew, and many others. We in the visual arts owe it all to Ms. Duzanne, IMHO. An excellant video by Crosscut is a must-see. The photos of her and her daughter, Theodosia Young.
