I believe in focusing on what I want more of in my life. So during the month of October, I look for ways to promote Breast Health Awareness, instead of Breast Cancer Awareness.
I'm excited to be speaking at a free natural health event at the Monroe Public Library on Tuesday night from 4pm -630pm. The event is hosted by Stephany Utter Mast and will have several speakers sharing self-care options to promote Women's Wellness from Head to Toe.
Please share with anyone that you know in the Monroe, WA area. I look forward to being part of this community gathering to share information to spark change!

Many women are encouraged to spread the message of Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October. They do this by reminding each other to get a mammogram. Then they don’t have to think about the “C word” again until next year. My experience is that most women are terrified to talk about breast cancer. I was too.
How I got past my fear was to focus on breast health and wellness. I concentrated on ways to support my health and happiness so I could learn how to have vibrant health. For me, it is more fun to study breast health in a group where everyone can share their wisdom and experiences (and their terrible breast puns ;-).
Supporting women’s health has been my passion since 2010. What started as a focus on breast health expanded into studying the lymph system and the nervous system. To understand health, we need to understand how inflammation impacts the body. Inflammation is controlled by the nervous system. The nervous system is controlled by our daily habits of self-care and restoration.
I organized all the information I have collected over the years into a six-week online class, called WHole Body Breast WHealth. We discuss simple, effective ways to support health while we support each other in creating health habits. Class starts Tuesday, November 1st at 5pm-615pm PT. It is taught live and also recorded. As we celebrate Mother's Day, let's be aware that sharing our hearts is the best way to support our hormones, boosting oxytocin levels, which balances serotonin and dopamine.
Lynne McTaggart has posted an excellent article on the dangers of buying the latest marketing schemes when it comes to balancing hormones during "the big change." What story are you telling yourself about your body's innate wisdom for changing gracefully?
Crazy ladies - Lynne McTaggart Many years ago I read an article in Esquire by Nora Ephron entitled ‘Dealing with the, uh, Problem,’ about the early days of the feminine-hygiene spray business

Great new discovery! Blood proteins were discovered that indicate the presence of breast cancer. Soon women could take a simple blood test to find breast cancer, similar to how men take a blood test for PSA levels to detect prostate cancer.
