What music would you choose for your own green funeral?

Live music at Recompose is a special thing to behold. At different times, our Gathering Place has hosted an accordion, a trumpet, a duet of cello and saxophone, and a choir of threshold singers.*

The Gathering Space was designed in partnership with architecture firm Olson Kundig and the sound quality is top notch.

We’d love to hear from you - comment below to share what kind of live music you’d like to hear at your own green funeral at Recompose.

*This beautiful group usually sings for folks on their deathbed and in this case, came to sing for someone who had died.

It’s our privilege to care for you at Recompose.

We will sit and make arrangements with you as sun pours in the window.

We will guide you as you care for your person, preparing them for the journey ahead.

Our spaces are designed to hold you as you grieve and honor your person.

The soil they create will nourish new life.

We hired a talented muralist to paint intricate leaves on the wall of our building.

We think about the texture of the shrouds in which we wrap the dead.

We designed our human composting vessels to be functional, durable, sustainable, and beautiful.

We carefully consider the words we use to update you on the status of your person’s transformation.

We obsess over the packaging we use to return their soil to you.

The details do matter. They show the level of care that permeates the work from top to bottom, inside and out. Thank you for trusting Recompose for your death care.
