Today I witnessed the face of Christian fascism—and it came with a smile, a song, and ecstatic worship.

When I heard the MayDay USA Tour 2025 was coming to City Hall, just blocks from my home, I knew I had to go—not to protest, but to witness. To listen. To observe. And to report back.

I arrived at 5:30 p.m. Fourth Avenue was closed to traffic. LGBTQ+ counter-protesters were pushed to the perimeter. Police were everywhere—maybe 50 in total. MayDay organizers had taken over the central plaza, the same space where countless vigils, protests, and community gatherings have taken place.

Roughly 300 MayDay attendees crowded around a stage as a small worship band played Christian praise music. The words were hard to make out over the speakers, but the signs were not: “JESUS,” “Jesus

The state of Georgia is trying to grow a baby inside of a DEAD woman right NOW. Her name is Adriana Smith and her body has been slowly decaying in a Georgia hospital for 3 months because the state of Georgia demands that she give birth even though she is DEAD. This is sick. This is anti-life. This is a crime against humanity.
