Whooshh Innovations
Whooshh Innovations has developed a technology providing for the rapid but gentle linear movement of agricultural and other asymmetrical objects in the field, the packing house/processor and perhaps even the retail store. The transport technology has multiple applications beyond the scope of the fresh fruit industries, such as live fish transport.

Some of the most important scientific breakthroughs start with questions that sound… a little strange. 🐟🚀
Take the “salmon cannon.” What looked like a quirky idea — safely moving salmon upstream through a tube — became a real solution for protecting ecosystems, restoring fish populations, and balancing environmental conservation with human infrastructure. It’s a perfect example of how curiosity-driven science turns unconventional ideas into real-world impact.
Whooshh is delighted to be featured in a new book called “The Salmon Cannon and the Levitating Frog.” https://www.amazon.com/Salmon-Cannon-Levitating-Frog-Discoveries/dp/1541605217
In an interview on PBS: Author Carly York talked about the importance of funding science and how it leads to incredible breakthroughs. https://www.pbs.org/video/in-defense-of-silly-science-how-curiosity-driven-research-drives-discovery-ktac0m/
From salmon cannons to lifesaving medicines, we’re investing in future cures, stronger infrastructure, global leadership, and the next generation of innovators.
Curiosity today = breakthroughs tomorrow.
