Mimicking these textures using a combination of fiber & acrylic I've cast molds of stones, created 'crystal' shards then encapsulated the surface in a transparent 'water-like' layer."

Our nomadic lifestyle waned as humans built permanent settlements and domesticated plants and animals. This issue of Surface Design Journal highlights the relationship between performance art and natural dyes: a relationship that centers on beauty, ritual and tradition.
