On this National Gardening Day, we celebrate our Green Seattle Partnership partners who met on Friday April 3rd for our first quarterly Relational Land Care (RLC) event. RLC events are a chance for GSP staff and community partners to have some time together in person to steward the land, build relationships, share skills, and get creative about collaborations.

Together, we removed 2070 square feet of Ivy and learned about each other as organizations and people. The partnership aspect of GSP felt really important to many folks and we celebrated the fact that, at the heart of it, GSP is all about the wonderful people who show up for the land, for community, and for each other.

Big thanks to Joselynn, Heron‘s Nest, and Duwamish Tribal Services for hosting us in the West Duwamish Greenbelt, kudos to our Natural Area Crew for doing a lot of the leg work, and thanks to everyone who made it out.

Green Seattle Partnership joined the Forest In Cities Workshop in Atlanta this week to share about our recent strategic planning efforts and continue to learn from this amazing professional network, now 26 cities strong!
We were especially excited to get outside with the stewards of Herbert Green Nature Preserve and to witness the support and collaboration with Atlanta Parks and Recreation, Park Pride, and Atlanta Department of Watershed Management. Partnership magic 💫
