18th fully b***d century stays (predecessor to the corset). Linen jacquard lined with cotton coutil, leather edge binding with saddle stitch. Still wants straps and may get split up the front for more adjustability. It’s a tiny bit too large.

I’ve been working on a death shroud for my mother, no worries, she’s doing great. But I want to be ready when the time comes. Anyhow, here are the ties for the shroud. Hand embroidery using silk ribbon and cotton thread on silk dupioni, with silk/cotton velvet.
