We're accepting applications for next year's BESC through this Friday. We're looking for representatives from all departments and programs in the college, both undergraduate and graduate students. Help us represent students and make the CBE the best place it can be! https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/snellr/329317

In light of events today, in Washington, DC and nationwide, the Built Environments Student Council (BESC) wants to reaffirm its stance on tolerance and diversity. The BESC supports a safe environment where diversity and inclusion are recognized and valued. We are committed to fostering a welcoming and respectful environment across the College's varied programs.

We hope students will continue to participate in efforts underway to make the College a more supportive, creative, and empowering place for everyone. We encourage anyone interested and able to take part in today's Design as Protest events happening at 2:30PM in Gould Court, and we remind students of the College Diversity Council's ongoing "Snack & Chat" series with the hope that as many as possible will contribute to the important conversations happening there.

Moving forward, the Built Environments Student Council is eager and available to talk about harnessing the momentum from these events into the future. As always, we welcome any suggestions or feedback on these or any College-related student issues, so please feel free to contact us at [email protected].

Sincerely,
The Built Environments Student Council
