How long has the story on your walls been there? A year? Five? Ten?

In a lot of spaces, the honest answer is "longer than we'd like to admit" — and what should feel like a living reflection of the people it serves slowly turns into a time capsule.

When the Jefferson County Historical Society reopened this spring, Ellie DiPietro and her team built the opposite: a museum designed to keep changing. One unifying theme. A modular system she calls "exhibit Legos." Panels printed on fully recyclable paper that come out as easily as they go in. So when a visitor says "actually, you got this part wrong," the fix is one panel, not one decade.
