have headed downtown to share good tidings and gifts with hundreds of our city’s most vulnerable residents. Ten years later, what Dan and Elise started as a small, self-funded charitable activity, has grown into a vital holiday mission serving Seattle’s ever-growing homeless community. In addition to the annual Walk, the Claus’s also visit shelters, nursing homes and non-profits throughout the season to share their Christmas spirit with those less fortunate. Dan and Elise work throughout the year to generate interest and support for the Christmas Eve Walk, and Seattle Santa and Mrs. Claus are available for holiday parties and corporate events to further the cause. “We handed out more than 400 gift bags last Christmas Eve, but it wasn’t nearly enough to meet demand,” says Dan. “We’re planning to more than double that number this season, and sadly it may still not be enough.”
