Dark Hearts
I paint about Grief, Trauma, Recovery, and Disability.
I love 1930s horror movies. This is my tribute to Elsa Lanchester, who played the Bride of Frankenstein in James Whale's 1935 sequel to Frankenstein.
8 x 10 inches. Handpainted with acrylics on canvas board.
♥️🔥♥️
Trivia:
The film was a critical success, and subjected to intense censorship by the Hays Office in 1935; the hissing of the bride, according to Elsa, was inspired by swans; Boris Karloff broke his hip while filming; Colin Clive broke his leg.
