The statements of Alexander Turbanov, an Israeli prisoner released today by Hamas, shocked the rogue state of Israel and the world.

Turbanov: "Your kindness is engraved on my conscience. During the 498 days I lived among you, despite the aggression and crimes you were subjected to, I learned the meaning of true manhood, pure heroism and respect for humanity and values.

You were the free beleaguered ones, I was the captive and you were the guardians of my life. You cared for me as a caring father cares for his children. You protected my health, my dignity and my grace and did not let hunger or humiliation touch me, even though I was in the clutches of men fighting for their land and their usurped rights, and even though they committed the most heinous genocide against a people besieged by the government of my country.

I did not know the meaning of manhood until I saw it in your eyes, and I did not realize the value of sacrifice until I lived among you, until you met death with a smile and resisted with your naked body the enemy who had the means to kill and destroy. No matter how eloquent and outspoken I may be, I will not be able to find words to reflect your worth, to express my admiration and admiration for your lofty morality.

Is this how your religion teaches you to treat your captives? How great is this religion, that it elevates you to such an exalted status that all man-made human rights laws collapse before it, all protocols for dealing with enemies collapse before it! In the most difficult moments, you showed justice and mercy not with false slogans, but with the facts we lived, and you did not abandon your principles even in the darkest conditions.

Believe me, if I return here one day, it will only be as a mujahid in your ranks. Because I learned the truth from your people and I realized that you are the owners not only of the land, but also of the principle and the just cause."
