Join us Tuesday, June 2, at 1:30 p.m. for a meeting of the full Council. We’ll start out by honoring recipients of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Distinguished Service Awards and proclaim June as National Gun Violence Awareness Month.

We will also take public testimony on several items—including legislation related to public defense standards, a proposal delaying implementation of the county’s cash acceptance requirement for retailers in unincorporated areas, and authorization for up to $1 billion in sewer-system bonds tied to wastewater infrastructure projects and refinancing existing debt.

The Council will also consider a report on county contract management and compliance protocols following recent concerns around contracting oversight and accountability. You can find more info on these topics and other items in our meeting packet here: bit.ly/council-packet
