I had a great experience with my first light rail ride today. Very cool! Yet… this also happened on my first light rail experience.

Both Lynnwood City Center bathrooms were closed to due to vandalism. A third one by the Ride store out of order due to vandalism.

A kind woman said that there was a nearby McDonald’s that I could use (always a good reason to get fries).

She told me this after she regaled a few of us with a Northgate light rail bathroom story about her friend that was washing her hands and could not figure out where this awful smell was coming from.

Until she realized that someone had filled the soap dispenser with human excrement. I’m still processing that one.

After my much needed bathroom break, I decided to walk to my girlfriend’s house from the station where I passed by a “lovely” unhoused encampment on the Interurban Trail.
