Alla Shliakhova

Artist, teacher, writer, poet and journalist. Master of Arts, Director of the Department of Art, Culture and Tourism of the International Maritime Business Association. Philanthropist and maecenas, has her own charitable organisation «Charitable Foundation of Alla Shliakhova».

She works in different genres, still life and portrait but her favorite one is the landscape. Artist’s favorite technique is pastel. As a high-level professor in painting, she uses and teaches all known techniques and materials (oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, pastel, coal, sepia, sanguine, pencil, etc.) and has her own training methodology.

Alla was born in Kharkiv.
In 1984, she graduated with honors from the Kharkiv children’s art school named by I. Repin
In 1988, she graduated with honors the Kharkiv State School of Art where she learned from Yu.Lutsenko.
In 1994, Ms. Shliakhova graduated with honors from the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute (current the Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts, where her teachers were V. Kovtun, E. Spitsevich, Yu.Stakhanov, V. Sizikov and S. Besedin .
Since 1992, she has been a member of Greenpeace in the fight to protect the environment.

Alla Shliakhova has been helping the Kharkov Zoo, children with cancer of Kharkov and the Kharkov region not for the first time. She also helps with the design and future construction of the Orthodox church complex of the Smolensk Icon of the Divine Mother in Kharkov and the restoration of the Kharkov Theological Seminary. Having moved to Odessa, she continues her charitable activities in the Odessa region. Alla Shliakhova’s painting studio for children and adults has already been opened in Kryzhanovka.
Contacts have been established with the Childrens Rehabilitation Center named after Boris Litvak , the Institute Rehabilitation of Persons with Psycho-Physical Development named after Janusz Korczak, Odessa Childrens House No. 1 and No. 3 for continued assistance.
Assistance is planned to one of the reserves in the suburbs of Odessa.
It also traditionally provides assistance to needy children, wildlife and nature around the world.

First, two NEW postage stamps of Ukraine with pictures of paintings by Alla Shliakhova were presented in Odessa. And on November 13, in honor of the World Kindness Day, Alla Shliakhova presented a series of postage stamps with her paintings at the central office of the Ukrposhta in Odessa. The day was not chosen by chance, as Alla Shliakhova, as a professional artist, has been engaged in charity work for many years and holds charity exhibitions and sales of her paintings under the slogan «WE GIVE GOOD TO THE WORLD!» calling on everyone to give good to the world.
It is a great honor and joy when the artist's paintings are appreciated by the country in which the artist lives and works, even during the life of the artist himself.
Now Alla Shliakhova's paintings in the form of postage stamps will fly like birds all over the World, giving people the beauty and warmth of the artist's soul!
So far, 18 paintings by Alla Shliakhova's have been released in 3 blocks of 6 postage stamps. In the future, the release of other paintings by Alla Shliakhova is already planned.
Alla Shliakhova will donate all royalties from postage stamps with images of her paintings to charity.

The International Maritime Association on June 25 2020 on the occasion of International Day of the Sailor awarded Alla Shliakhova the Gold Medal "FOR SERVICES" and issued, in addition to the certificate, also Gratitude.

In 2021, for helping young sailors and reviving yachting, the International Maritime Business Association awarded Alla Shlyakhova with the badge "FOR MERIT" number 001 and issued a diploma for her great contribution to the development of education for the young generation of Ukraine in 2021.

Also, Alla Shliakhova in 2021 received an honorary award No. 1 from the chairman of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine for her great contribution to the development of culture and art in Ukraine.

In 2022 Alla Shliakhova, was awarded the Prize for "Cultural Diplomacy" "World Order of Cultural Diplomacy" for strengthening the international prestige of Ukraine, for the development of science, education, culture, art, medicine, for information, diplomatic, charitable, humanitarian and public activities.

In 2022, Alla Shliakhova, for her significant contribution to the development of culture, art and spirituality of Odessa, was solemnly accepted as a member of the World Club of Odessans.

In 2024 that Alla Shliakhova has been awarded the World EcoArt Order for her contributions to research and development in the field of the impact of color and painting in general for the benefit of humanity and our LIVING PLANET.
