New Year’s Eve Onyx Party is only 6 days away! So is our last day! Come celebrate with us as we close our doors with the closing of 2023. Our Onyx party features some of Chef Jordan’s favorite classic Southern buffet dishes that will be replenished all night. We will be poppin’ bottles from Black-owned distillers and wine makers and dancing to live music from DJ Lady Coco. Here’s a sneak peak on the menu you won’t want to miss.

Put on your best black attire and get your tickets now as space is limited. Once it’s sold out, that’s it, folks!

Celebrating the remaining two weeks with tapping into our last keg of Holy Mountain Inosculation Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.

Inosculation highlights heritage grains that are prominent in Southern cooking, including millet, einkorn, smoked red corn, and black rice. It was aged for a year in a combination of Kentucky Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey barrels before blending and packaging. We have a few bottles left too!

As the year winds down to a close, so do the doors of JuneBaby. On December 31, 2023 we will close the doors to JuneBaby Restaurant in its current form.

In our nearly 7 years of being open, we still hear about the impact we have had near and far, and it’s truly surreal. We have always been a small, Black family owned restaurant with a big heart, determined leaders, with an age old mission to educate on the history of and celebrate Southern cuisine while uplifting Black excellence.

Southern food embodies hard times and resourcefulness, and is nothing short of beautiful. JuneBaby is a reflection of that history, and where Southern cuisine was showcased as more than just food. It was a canvas for stories, a stage for talent, a testament to history, and a celebration of resilience. And like the seasons that shape Southern soil, our journey takes a new turn. While we close this chapter, the spirit of JuneBaby lives on, its roots deep in the fertile ground of educating, uplifting, and celebrating Black foodways and talent. There is still work to be done and stories to tell.

Our thank you list is long, so we will keep it simple: thank you to every single person who stepped through our double doors–each guest, employee past and present, our farmers, vendors, and purveyors. We have learned so much from each of you. To our Day Ones, your support was a homage to the importance of our mission.

Join us in these final weeks as we raise a toast to this iteration of JuneBaby. Come celebrate with us on December 31st with one last party for our New Year’s Eve Onyx Party celebrating Black excellence with our favorite Black winemakers and distillers, delicious Southern buffet, and of course dancing to live music from DJ Lady Coco.

JuneBaby may be closing, but our commitment to excellence, love for community, and unwavering belief in the power of Black stories will continue to bloom in unexpected ways.
