This article should serve as a reminder of why all tests should be released to the public domain by the College Board and all other testing agencies for that matter. Someone always gets the test. Many High Schools keep their final exams under lock and key so they can reuse them but there is no doubt that some kids get those tests from the year before and they too have an unfair advantage.
Taking the SAT is hard enough. Then students learned the test's answers may have been leaked online Students who took the SAT exam on Saturday said they were angry to learn that questions on the test had already been leaked online. The news spread on Twitter.

This recent Harvard University article sent to me by my good friend Dave Prince from UW Seattle echos what he and I have seen and believed for many years regarding teaching Calculus in High School. Only a few students are truly ready. I have a Master's Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering yet I did not take Calculus in High School.
Rushing to get to Calculus in High School is often done at the expense of a solid math foundation. Most kids take Calculus in High School because it makes their College Applications look stronger. But most end up taking Calculus again anyways. Why not simply spend the time during High School taking math classes truly get students ready to succeed at Calculus in College?
