Ecstasy In Numbers

lson, Ecstasy In Numbers, originally called GMW after Gabrielson, Mattingly and Williams, they released their first demo cassette tape called Discover. This demo featured four compositions: Lisa, Shades, Spellbound and Spy vs. After Paul left the trio, EIN was joined by bassist, Rob McQueen and later released a second demo tape that featured four new selections: An Orca's Wish, Hangtime, Curfew and Rush Hour. Mike, Garey and Rob performed in the Seattle area and continued to write and then record a third tape that featured three new selections: Cruisin', Glass Hummingbird, Rush Hour (another version) and I'm Not a Vampire Anymore. Mike and Garey performed around Seattle with two other bassists before disbanding for several years. Then beginning in 1997, Garey and Mike began to rehearse with bassist, Dean Schmidt and then recorded the Spellbound CD in 1998. After performing in the Central Washington and Seattle regions, EIN once again disbanded while Garey taught for two years as a college professor at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. Beginning in 2000, Mike and Garey were joined by bassist/composer, Rick White and began rehearsing and collaborating on new music, much of which was written by Rick White. After eight months of performing, EIN recorded The Search in the fall of 2002.
