Many of our simple casts are replicas of famous sculptures. First year student Queena Chen chose for her simple cast the mouth of the statue of David, and as you can see, she did a lovely job!

We often hear from visitors to our studio the dreaded comment, “I can only draw a stick figure”. While it is true that it takes years to learn this craft, anyone can learn to make the sort of art you see from our atelier. The methods we use to teach realistic drawing and painting have been passed down for centuries because they really work! This piece was created by atelier alumni .phan during his final year, and it is breathtaking! Jammy came to the atelier with no previous art-making experience, but he worked hard and his talent soared!
