We recently celebrated an exciting evening at the American Library Association Annual Conference & Exhibition, where Miller Hull Partner Ruth Baleiko accepted the ALA/International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Library Interior Design Award for Redmond Library in the Public Libraries (over 30,000 sq ft) category.

Designed with Steele Associates Architects in collaboration with Deschutes Public Library, Redmond Library reimagines the library as a vibrant civic living room. Warm, exposed mass timber, flexible gathering spaces, creative maker areas, and immersive children's environments create an inviting, adaptable interior designed to foster learning, creativity, and connection for every member of the community.

AIA26, what a blast!

Highlights include celebrating three of our projects being recognized at the AIA National Honor Awards, and Partner Ben Dalton—a founding member of our San Diego studio—welcoming conference attendees as president of The American Institute of Architects, San Diego Chapter. We led tours of multiple projects throughout the city, team members joined conversations with peers from across the profession, and we hosted an open house and alumni events at our San Diego office.

Construction is underway on the Western Washington University Student Development & Success Center, a 29,000-square-foot addition at the south end of campus designed as a front door for Western.

Delivered through a progressive design-build approach with BNBuilders, the center brings student services together in one highly visible location, improving access, connection, and clarity for both prospective and current students. A new welcome center will orient visitors to campus and provide a place to meet with students and learn about academic pathways and support resources.
