TMS therapy is the only thing that has worked for my chronic, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD. ❤️‍🩹

TMS stands for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. It uses magnetic pulses to stimulate the part of your brain that regulates mood. In depression that area tends to be under active, almost like it’s asleep, and TMS helps wake it up and build new neural pathways that improve how your brain functions.

It is FDA approved for depression and OCD and has been studied for over 20 years. TMS is not one-size-fits-all, but I had never heard of it until I hit rock bottom and I want you to know it exists before you get there.

I walked into treatment on July 30th with a PHQ-9 depression score of 23 out of 27, which is considered severe. On my last session on October 15th my score was a 1. 🧠

I went to Eastside Psychiatry and TMS in Renton, WA and they used the MagstimTMS machine, which is the most precise and targeted TMS machine available with minimal side effects. Not all TMS machines are the same and all clinics are run independently. I recommend visiting the Magstim website and using their clinic locator to find a location near you that uses this technology.
