About January 27th’s facilitators:
Lisa Yeager has deep experience in the non-profit sector in volunteer and program management. She was Regional Director for Autism Speaks overseeing walkathons with thousands of walkers and volunteers. She also oversaw 400 volunteers for the Pacific Science Center and hundreds for Catholic Community Center Volunteer Chore Services. This broad experience has given her a depth of knowledge for working with the community and volunteers in the most impactful way. She sees herself as a dream manager helping non-profit organizations and volunteers reach their goals. She is recently retired as Executive Director of the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation, WA. She currently lives with her husband in Port Townsend, WA where she is enjoying being a volunteer herself!
Alice Fong, MSM believes and LOVES how volunteerism is a strategy to advance the common good. She was bit by the volunteer bug in the early 90’s and has kept volunteering ever since. Working with volunteers in higher ed, government, nonprofits like the YMCA and hospitals has kept her in these sectors because she cannot imagine working without the passion, dedication, and care volunteers bring! Alice became the first volunteer manager for a growing nonprofit where she developed the infrastructure and policies that are still being used today. When she was at United Way of King County, she reached thousands of nonprofit leaders with ways to better engage volunteers and was on the team that mobilized the state of Washington’s largest volunteer service day, working with hundreds of organizations to engage over 13,000 volunteers on Day of Caring! Since 2018, Alice has led the Center for Ethical Leadership where she inspires and cultivates leaders to advance their part of the common good!
