One last post with a gallery of some Palouse images. Still two spots left for joining my workshop June 25-28. I've been visiting this area for over 12 years and keep finding more subjects to photograph. Shoot me a message for more info or link to sign-up.

Plagued by Visions...here's one more image from last Friday's foray with Ian Gaston ( ). Jurassic Beach I called it. So many interesting rocks where the Pacific and North American tectonic plates come together causing ancient rocks to uplift into the region. Pretty sure this is Fossiliferous Rock. I was drawn to the skeletal bird shape on the right. But my brain was itching. I knew it reminded me of something else and I after some searching online, it was a plague mask. Wikipdeia writes: "Plague masks are iconic, beaked, 17th-century respirator masks historically worn by doctors to treat bubonic plague. Designed to resemble birds, these masks were stuffed with aromatic herbs to combat the "miasma" (foul air) believed to spread the plague."

Peaks and Valleys...The undulating swirls and ridges of the California coast. I studied these patterns for quite awhile and tried several compositions. Definitely will return to study them some more. Time well spent if you ask me.

The Moody Dunes...well after the sun had set, golden storm light still spilled over the mountains in the valley.

One more from a trip long ago. Looking forward to revisiting this place with a new set of eyes.
