Francisco Romo is our Care Advocate Manager from El Paso, TX who manages daily operations, improves processes, and works cross-functionally to ensure operations aligns with company goals.

Frank served in the U.S. Army for 6 years and has close ties to our Veterans and Hispanic and Indigenous People ERGs. “These ERGs mean a lot to me because they offer spaces for connection, support, and advocacy on issues that matter to me.”

Frank witnessed the complexities of our healthcare system at a very early age. His grandmother battled with chronic conditions and struggled to manage several expensive medications. Frank decided to work in healthcare because he believed that's where he could make a difference. “It was hard seeing my grandmother struggling and trying to understand her medical needs. That's when I decided I wanted to make a positive impact on others by helping people and solving problems”.

One moment that really stood out to Frank was when a member couldn’t make it to her primary care appointment due to lack of transportation. Though she had coverage, the third-party vendor couldn’t provide a driver. Frank immediately coordinated with the company to arrange a driver who took her to her appointment and brought her home. What sounded like a small gesture meant the world to her, and it reminded Frank of how much of a difference we can make in people’s lives when they need it most.

“To me, healthcare is about making a meaningful impact by helping others navigate and improve the complexities of our nation’s health care system. It’s about driving positive change and making a real difference in the lives of those we serve”.
