An under stair space transforms into a wine cellar. The Owners had a vision of something unique and found the pegs to hold the bottles. We then wrapped the space with a walnut veneer and put the framelss glass panels to complete the look.

These three photos show a contemporary steel floating stair from both inside and out. The goal was to make the stair on the street side of the residence a piece of art in itself. From inside, it appears to float structureless and unattached to the walls. From the exterior the stair glows at night and becomes an important feature of the front facade. The finishing touch of the Owner's art on the landing wall is the perfect compliment. I love how that piece of art can be the focus while the stairs and rail recede.
