January 7, 2006 - Seattle, WA @ Showbox w/ Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, & Zebrahead

I had an emergency root canal 🦷 in Portland two days prior to this, which happened hours before we hit the stage for the first show of the Deep Freeze Tour. I’m sure this set pictured here in Seattle was noticeably more rockin’ since I was on 100% less pain killers, but I still have zero recollection of it 😅. I remember bumming around the fish market, though! - Ben

Who remembers the nascent podcasting days, where legends like would platform complete unknowns like ? We were having a very confusing year, primarily because our label at the time was cock-blocking our every move, but getting a phone call from one of our musical heroes—and hearing him tell the world our song Nothing Is Real is cool—was definitely a major highlight of 2006! Thanks, Mark!

Of course, shoutout to for connecting the dots to make this happen in the first place and .zachwiler for making this rad video!

Here’s a photo from a show we played with our label-mates The Interns at a bowling alley in Ligonier, PA in June 2004. I remember we refused to call it anything but “Legionnaire,” PA, because referential humor is life. Anyway, that’s the post! Stream Eloquence Deluxe today, kids!
