Pull up on me at the 4th Annual Black Authors Appreciation on Saturday, April 4, 2026 in Renton, WA.

I’ll be there as one of the featured authors talking Afrofuturism, storytelling, imagination, and building worlds that hit different.

This is a free, family-friendly event, so come through, support Black authors, discover new books, and vibe with the community.

Time doesn’t move in a straight line.
It stacks.

What we call “new” is usually something old wearing different clothes.
What we call “ancient” is just knowledge that learned how to wait.

Adaptation isn’t a breakthrough moment.
It’s repetition.
Trial.
Repair.
Living inside systems that were never designed for us and still finding a way to make them answer back.

We don’t meet the future as strangers.
We meet it with muscle memory.
With instincts passed down without instructions.
With hands that already know how to fix, translate, and reimagine.

This isn’t about blending eras.
It’s about continuity under pressure.
About staying human while everything around you keeps changing shape.

That’s the work.
That’s always been the work.
