Tonight! Eli Moore (LAKE) EP release with & !
Doors: 7pm
Show: 8pm
Tickets: $15 / $18
Eli Moore was born in Seattle in 1978. At age 5, his family would leave the city to homestead on remote Whidbey Island, where Eli would grow up spending free time taping music off the radio. Paula Abdul, INXS, and Bruce Hornsby flaunted evidence of a freer world. At 13, he’d hear “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and in a fandom trance, walk to Casey’s grocery store to purchase Nevermind on cassette. His appetite for music would grow alongside an inconvenient urge to do more than just listen. In 1999, he’d move to Bellingham, WA, for college and follow the thread to increasingly approachable and local music—Lou Barlow, Built to Spill, Dear Nora, K Records. He’d surrounded himself with this music and its people, but self-doubt kept him from tending to his ache to create. In 2001, while night-swimming in Puget Sound’s phosphorescent waters, he found himself pulled out to sea. As he fought to make it back to land, he thought he heard the words: “Don’t let me catch you while you’ve still got things to do.” This near-death experience literally gave voice to the precious wish Eli had been sheltering from the world. He busted open. Eli now resides with his wife and musical partner, Ashley Eriksson. Together, they lead LAKE, a band that has spanned two decades and produced numerous albums. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Karl Blau, Laura Veirs, and First Aid Kit, and records in his home studio, a familiar cabin in the woods. As Eli prepares for the release of the first official solo album he considers, he draws from a rich background of community, collaboration, and solitary devotion.

Voice and lyrics clear as glass, Where’s Beth (project of Sarabeth Weszely) carries the kind of honesty that makes a room go still. Raised in the Midwest and trained as a writer, Weszely brings a literary sensibility to her songs, shaped by close observation and restraint. She lived seven years in New York City, where she recorded for my mom & other lovers (2022) and Bone Broth (2024). These early releases introduced her devotion to shared domestic spaces and the emotional textures of the mundane. Her sophomore album Ache Is A Cricket In The Night continues this exploration of everyday life but widens its emotional landscape. Across its songs, Weszely writes in tiny weather systems: a fridge that stops humming, a clogged drain gurgling like human pain, strangers pointing out untied shoes in the grocery line, white ants burrowing through wood at dusk. These images widen into reflections on grief, anger, the quiet accumulation of loss, and the ordinary ache of being alive. Recorded live in Weszely’s Seattle home studio, Ache Is A Cricket In The Night trusts presence over perfection. It does not rush toward resolution but stays, listens, offering itself as a companion and trusting that even the smallest details can hold entire emotional worlds. Claire Tucker is an eclectic Seattle-based singer-songwriter noted for her distinctive voice, evocative lyrics, and nuanced whammy-bar technique. She is perhaps marginally better known as the lead vocalist/guitarist/songwriter for Loose Wing. Her most recent album, “Revelers” was released in the final weeks of 2024, too late for consideration for any best-of lists, but that’s OK. She’ll be accompanied by vocalist Billie Bloom (Von Wildenhaus, Stargazr), and Olie Eshleman (Corespondents, Annie Ford Band) on guitar and pedal steel.
