We had the tremendous privilege of having Danielle work and witness alongside us as we served our communities last year and we can't wait to include more of you, our neighbors, in the transformative act of caring for one another.

Today we distributed many of the essential items our neighbors are always in need of. Toilet paper, clothing, hygiene items, hand warmers and fresh water make a huge difference to someone who doesn’t have regular access to them. You can help make this difference with a donation of any amount, every little bit adds up.

During Black History Month, it's important to acknowledge the white supremacist foundation of the social issues we're facing today.
Loitering and vagrancy laws were written to distinctly criminalize Black people's existence on public land. The police force itself was created to harass and punish people who were deemed unwelcome in the community. That was in the 1840s ... and we still don't see housing and land access as human rights in our society.
It's uncomfortable to look at and we have become so practiced at looking the other way. We urge you to take a few moments to learn more about this and other racist contributions that have created our culture in Tianna Kelly's blog posts for the National Alliance to End Homelessness in the link below:

Take part in changing the way we interact with the people in our communities.
Stay open, learn more, be anti-racist.

Keep your neighbors in mind through these cold and snowy times. Frigid temperatures are especially dangerous to people without solid shelter and safe heat sources.
When you see a neighbor outside, share enough cash for a coffee and a chance to sit in a heated building whenever you can.
