Words That Saved Me

“…I was crushed by one of the darkest Bipolar II lows of my life. Sitting in a hotel lobby, hat down, tears falling, staring at Sierra Blanca… a stranger said” ʻMan, the worldʻs too beautiful for you to stay sad too long.ʻ … I looked up— it was LUKE BRYAN”

Kirk, thank you so much for sharing your story with us, and the world. I hope all the Luke Bryan fans struggling out there, hear your story.
Itʻs amazing how the universe will work in our favor, especially during the times when we “shouldnʻt have” been somewhere.. or were “supposed to be x,y,z instead”.. Itʻs amazing how one small decision can ripple out and completely change our day, our night, and our lives. Hopefully this helps change yours too!
Can you think of a time when you made a last-minute decision that ended up turning out for the better? A time where everything actually worked out perfectly despite the manic thoughts rushing through your head earlier in the day?

Your reason doesn’t have to be complex. It can be as simple as you feel it needs to be. Mine would definitely be to not only take care of, but to experience all the little goofy things my cats do that gets me laughing. They’re stuck with me for life hehe

For those that don’t understand English very well (it’s okay, neither do I) here’s what I’m trying to say:
The subconscious is far more powerful than you might think. It’s constantly rumbling in the back of our minds.
Everything you seek, you feed.
You can either feed your insecurities or feed your peace.
Feed your mind or feed their greed.
I know pain, I won’t pretend I haven’t fallen to my knees.
One day I said enough. I followed my triggers, sat in silence - dug deep, kept asking myself why? The more I questioned, the more I learned. I released the pain in whatever way my body told me to (crying, writing, sulking in the silence, etc). I shaped the narrative in stating how it made me grow stronger and how it has positively shaped me (in my eyes). After that, I began to feel lighter. That weight releasing became addictive. I brought up different topics in my mind and I didn’t feel the pain anymore. I just felt peace. I urge you to do the same.
I wasn’t planning on writing about this, but c’est la vie. Between social media and real, true life..
