Dear Faithful 86ers,

THE BIG NEWS (part 1):

As most of you are well aware, after our last show at Darrell’s Tavern in April ‘25, 86 Miles went through a period of upheaval after parting ways with Xochil and Pete.
Determined, Steve, Brian, and Chris decided to soldier on carrying the 86 Miles banner in search of like-minded musicians who might want to bring their energy into our fold.

After meeting with literally dozens of wonderful people - all very talented artists in their own right - there was one particular vocalist who sang with such soulful grace, who brought undeniable melodic gifts and a unique lyrical perspective, whose voice meshed so seamlessly with the music we created…

After spending the last few months rebuilding - re-energized with a new sense of purpose - we are super-excited to announce that Teagan Lindsay is our new singer, and we are dying for you all to meet her!

Which leads us to…

THE BIG NEWS (part 2):

It won’t be too long before you get the chance to see our new lineup as we have booked the first show of this new era at the legendary Blue Moon Tavern!!
Friday, July 17 @ 8pm, opening for Thrown-Out Bones, an awesome Alt-Rock band out of San Carlos, CA.

We would love to see as many of the 86ers there as possible as we open this next chapter and reconnect with you all.

Peace & Love

86 Miles

86 Miles 86 Miles are a Seattle band drawing from post-punk, new wave, Britpop, darkwave, and shoegaze. Built from veterans of local PNW acts including Crush On Molly, Laudanum, The Bluest Day, and Last Great Fire — now with Teagan Lindsay on vocals.

FOUR MORE DAYS!!

With the Darrell's Tavern show with Mettle Lark just around the corner (this Sat Apr 5) nostalgia came calling - we were able to dig out some of the only surviving pics of both versions of The Bluest Day to share with you all.

The first batch is mostly from a show 1,000 Veils played at Romper Room in July 1992… so much hair… (and so little left! 😆). I believe this was the last show played under that name before being rechristened as The Bluest Day. A couple of shots of the crowd thrown in - anyone recognize the lovely girl in purple…?🤔
Last couple of photos: a shot of Chris Mirabueno & Jason Bustard (with the requisite stoge) at our first gig as TBD, taken at Patrick Napper’s apartment, and a couple of original band photos from 1989, when Barrett Wilke was on drums, the final one after our very first show at the OK Hotel, taken by holtby.

TBD 2.0 includes a shot from our debut with a new lineup - playing Jeff LeGore’s basement, followed up by some shots from the Off Ramp circa 1994, and lastly a band shot after Jason had left, taken by Sarah Noelle Lennox (neé Palmer).
