Creating privacy has become a vital part of creating balance in our home; a little separation is just what we need.

Amadou, a leathery material derived from the fruit of fungus. Furniture designer Mari Koppanen used it to upholster a rotund stool and matching bench and topped them with fluffy wool. The material is fully biodegradable, cruelty-free and natural. Traditionally, pieces of amadou are connected using a glue made from animal bone collagen, but Koppanen opted for vegan bookbinding glue instead. The leather itself has a texture and warm brown color reminiscent of suede. 📸Dezeen
